Craigmyle used to be a large estate with history going back to the 16th Century, and one of the grandest old houses in Deeside.
In 1952 the Castiglione family broke the estate up and sold the parts seperately
In the summer of 1960, The old house dating from 1676 was demolished by use of explosives
